„Nexus - odrodzenie" 2026

Structural abstract painting created in mixed media on cotton canvas.

Materials:

• acrylic paints,

• structural paste,

• metal leaf (schlagmetal),

• fine golden Art Glitter.

The composition is kept in a muted palette of orange, red, black and gold. The carefully balanced colors and dynamics of form are emphasized by gilding and a delicately shimmering golden dust that gives the work a unique character.

The painting was created on a base of structural pastes using brushes and a spatula, giving the surface a tangible, three-dimensional structure.

Preparation for shipping:

• protection with a triple layer of varnish,

• sides of the painting painted in the background color (the painting requires no frame),

• artist's signature on the reverse,

• certificate of authenticity.

The presented photos show the painting in sample formats and modern interior arrangements.

History of the painting

„Nexus – Rebirth” belongs to Mariola Smyk's own collection titled „Awakening of the Elements” – a cycle of paintings inspired by the forces of nature, emotions and the inner transformation of the human being.

The painting was first presented publicly on 23 May 2026 during the artist's own vernissage in Vienna. The event took place at the 3.Dent Clinic of Aesthetics and Implantology of Dr. Jakob Ledwon, located in the prestigious 1030 district, part of Vienna's cultural scene.

After the vernissage, the painting, together with selected works from the „Awakening of the Elements” collection, became part of a long-term exhibition in the clinic's spaces. The work became part of a carefully designed interior arrangement, thanks to which patients and guests can experience contemporary art every day.

„Nexus – Rebirth” is an artistic interpretation of the moment of transformation, in which one stage ends and another begins. Dynamic lines and a multilayered structure form a symbolic point of connection – the eponymous nexus – a meeting place of experiences, emotions and energy leading toward renewal.

Intense shades of red, orange, black and gold evoke the power of fire – the element of purification, transformation and the birth of the new. The movement visible in the composition gives the painting expression and depth, emphasizing the constant process of change taking place both in nature and in the human being.

The gilding brings out the spatiality of the textures and subtly illuminates the surface of the work, creating a contrast between energy and harmony. „Nexus – Rebirth” tells of the courage to cross one's own boundaries, the discovery of inner strength and the beauty born of transformation.
